Brittani Bailey is a 22 year old native of McDonough, GA and currenlty resides in Decatur, GA. Brittani studied Strategic Communications at Hampton University in Hampton, VA and graduated from the university in May 2017. At HU, she developed skills in public relations, journalism, video production, graphic design, event planning, photography, and more. However, her passion for environmental justice was discovered after taking a environmental science lab her sophomore year. Brittani noticed major environmental issues continuing in the Hampton Roads community and gained a desire to learn preventative measures and how to create unique strategies to inform the public.
In May 2017, Ms. Bailey completed an internship at the National Institute of Aerospace working under the Hampton University Center for Atmospheric Research and Education Grant in Hampton, VA. There, she is operated in the Education and Outreach department working to recruit under-represented minority students to STEM fields. She has also gained experience at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions in Arlington, VA and the Dekalb County Board of Health in Decatur, GA.
Brittani has also been involoved in numerous organizations such the Public Relations Student Society of America, Co- Editor of the Hampton University Honors College Newsletter, the Vice President of the HU Student Recruitment Team, and a Spring 2017 initiate of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
